"The Animist" illustrates a religious and ontological perspective common to many indigenous cultures across the world.
 
Painted in earthy shades of brown, this work attempts to convey the nature of animistic belief, whereby all creatures and plants, natural objects, and even natural phenomena, possess a distinct spiritual essence, and their power organises and brings to life universal existence.
