"Desert Dawn Nesting" is based on the colours and patterns made by salt as the water evaporates from the salt pans and seasonal lakes in South Australia's red desert regions. 
 
When the rains come and the lakes fill, a riot of birdlife appears, seemingly from nowhere. At dawn, while it is still relatively cool, the instinctive search for nesting material begins with urgency as the breeding season is limited by the unpredictable availability of water and food.

59 cm x 73 cm with 2.5 cm white border top, left and right and 4 cm at bottom. 
 
These are limited edition prints of 100 copies. All are printed on museum quality 310gsm cotton rag paper, acid free with archival pigments inks.
 
Each print is blind embossed in the bottom right corner and individually signed and numbered by Helen Elizabeth Donald.
